Not One, Not Two, But THREE

Grand Champions

 at BENTSEN ELEMENTARY!

During this year’s Science Fair, Bentsen Elementary students did an amazing job! Three scientists created outstanding projects that took home the top honor, Science Fair Grand Champion! First grader, Esmiguel Guerra Jr., received a first place trophy and the Grand Champion trophy for his model titled “GO for GOLD”. This model used a homemade conveyor belt and cardboard marble race track to demonstrate how kinetic energy is used in the Olympic Bobsled and Luge Races. 3rdgrade student, Andre E. Saenz, received a first place trophy and the Grand Champion trophy for his experiment titled “Hooked on Ponics”. His experiment tested plant growth using a hydroponic method versus a traditional soil method. Iris Romero, 5thgrade student, received a first place trophy and the Grand Champion trophy for her experiment titled “The Heat Runs Deep”. Her experiment tested geothermal energy using a homemade Hero’s Engine.
