A proud graduate of La Joya ISD, Ms. Lugo is honored to return to the district that helped shape her educational journey and is excited to serve the students, families, and staff of Tabasco Elementary.

Ms. Lugo earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University–Kingsville and a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The University of Texas at Arlington. She brings valuable experience to the role, including seven years as a fifth-grade teacher and two years as an assistant principal in McAllen ISD.

Throughout her career, Ms. Lugo has been dedicated to supporting student success, empowering educators, and building strong partnerships with families and the community. Her passion for education and commitment to excellence will help continue the great work taking place at Tabasco Elementary.

As she begins this exciting new chapter, Ms. Lugo looks forward to working alongside students, staff, parents, and community members to foster a culture of growth, opportunity, and achievement for all.
