Mrs. Lara-Garza brings more than 26 years of educational experience and a passion for helping students reach their full potential. For the past 8 years, she has proudly served as Principal of E. B. Reyna Elementary, where her leadership helped the campus earn and maintain a Texas Education Agency "A" rating for six consecutive years and achieve Honor Roll recognition.

Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, Science Lab teacher, assistant principal, and principal, always focusing on student success, instructional excellence, and building strong relationships with families and staff.

Mrs. Lara-Garza's journey is one of perseverance and inspiration. As a former migrant student and one of nine children, she understands the importance of opportunity, hard work, and believing in every child's potential.  

Her experiences have shaped a leadership philosophy centered on ensuring all students feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed.

As she begins this exciting new chapter at Henry B. Gonzalez Elementary, Mrs. Lara-Garza looks forward to partnering with students, staff, parents, and the community to continue creating a positive, welcoming, and high-achieving learning environment.
